Dr. Elizabeth Berg

Headaches became a daily routine for by age 14.  Some so debilitating that all I could do was lie in a dark room until they subsided. My family brought me to many practitioners including medical doctors and physical therapists trying to find a cure for my symptoms. The medications I was prescribed only made me worse and offered minimal, temporary relief. Despite these treatments, my health worsened as I began having severe stomach pain in addition.  I was then prescribed more medication for this new symptom.

After these unsuccesfull attempts, we decided to try a chiropractic doctor.  My mom had seen a chiropractor after a car accident with great success, and we were desparate for a treatment that would help.  It did! Even my stomach pain went away! My chiropractor used therapies and adjustments to eliminate my symptoms.  These treatments also relieved nerve irritation that caused my stomach pain. My chiropractor also taught me how to change my lifestyle so I could prevent the symptoms. I was once again in control of my health!

From a very young age, I always wanted to help others and become a medical doctor.  After my experience with medical interventions,  I realized there was a different way to obtain health, naturally!  I believe medical interventions are important for some conditions, but they are just one modality in our healthcare system.  My philosophy is to begin with the least invasive, most natural treatment possible for all conditions.

I have over 10 years of experience in the chiropractic field, first as a chiropractic assistant, and now as practitioner.  I earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Biology simultaneous to my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN.  It was during my rigorous doctoral training that I learned the positive impact of wellness care.  I began receiving treatment on a regular basis and felt I functioned better in daily life and during my workout sessions more than I ever had before.  I was even sick with bronchitis less often! (A condition that plagued me in my childhood years) It is very beneficial for me, and now today, I recommend a similar path to wellness care for my patients.
My mission is to help patients obtain their health goals, naturally.  I’ve treated newborns, and patients over 90 years young, all with the goal of health in mind.  I offer relief care and wellness care including therapies, massage, acupuncture, nutritional recommendations and supplementation, lifestyle modification, and exercise rehabilitation.  I feel most satisfied when patients are able to obtain relief and manage their health through wellness prevention care.  I educate my patients on their options and let them decide the best course for them.  The word “doctor” initially meant teacher, and that is my desire, to teach you about your health so you can make the best decision for your care.

We want you to feel welcome and comfortable, because that is the best environment for healing to flourish.  Our center strives to offer this atmosphere to you and your loved ones!

I have been married to my wonderful husband, Peter for over 6 years.  My personal hobbies include gluten free cooking/baking, hiking, camping, gardening, composting, mentoring, volunteering with youth at our church and occasionally watching a good movie.  We recently purchased our first home, and are enjoying landscaping, small home renovations and watching our cat, Buddy, adjust to the new scenery.
